The San Diego Film Foundation (SDFF), an educational 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that produces the annual San Diego Film Festival, aims to educate, enlighten and entertain, bringing greater exposure and appreciate of independent film. The Foundation was established in 2002 to create and implement film programs in partnership with local filmmakers, businesses, educational institutions and nonprofit social organizations.
SDFF has been honored to partner with amazing organizations like Invisible Children, California Charter Schools Association, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, PETA and the Surfrider Foundation by premiering power films like EARTHLINGS, GO, WAITING FOR SUPERMAN and BORN INTO BROTHELS to the San Diego Community.
Over the past ten years SDFF has run almost entirely on the generosity of volunteers. But, as the economic times in our city, state and country threaten to limit funding to arts programs and education, we are compelled to reach out to you, our supportive film-lovers, to help us continue and expand our efforts and fulfill our mission:
- To create stimulating film programs which spark conversations
- To embrace the experience and power of film
- To enlighten and educate- on all levels
Through your generous donations, we will be able to continue to provide San Diego with an exceptional outlet for independent film; and we can come together as a community to celebrate the art and power of independent film. Any amount will help, and all donations are tax-deductible.
