The San Diego Film Festival presents "You Be The Judge" Night The 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month (April - August, except April 21st)
**JULY 7TH - We are mixing it up for our first “You Be the Judge” in JULY!! Join us Tuesday July 7th for the San Diego Premiere of the VISIONEERS, starring Zach Galifianakis from the summer blockbuster hit THE HANGOVER.

First time feature filmmaker Jared Drake makes his directorial debut with this quirky black comedy set in the near future, and concerning a curious spike in cases of spontaneous human combustion. The Jeffers Corporation is the largest business in the history of mankind, and they got that way thanks to their strict philosophy of happiness through mindless productivity. But when people begin literally exploding due to unhappiness, Jeffers Corporation Level Three TUNT George Washington Winsterhammerman (Zach Galifianakis, THE HANGOVER) begins to fear that his time will come sooner rather than later.

ABOUT YOU BE THE JUDGE
The "You Be the Judge Night" is an exciting opportunity for the San Diego community to participate in selecting which films will be screened during the annual San Diego Film Festival September 23 - 27, 2009.
Audience members will have a chance to judge short films and their written feedback will be used by the festival staff in determining which films will make the final cut for the fest this fall. Your $8 suggested donation includes a complimentary Stone Brewing Co. Beer and a raffle ticket. The Pearl Hotel will also offer a super dinner special - two tacos and a margarita for only $10.
Each year, San Diego Film Festival receives over 1,200 film submissions from around the world, including feature, documentary, short and music videos.
Of the films submitted, only 85 films make it into the final film line-up.
San Diego's only official Academy-sanctioned viewing party benefiting the San Diego Film Foundation was held at “One of the Ten Most Notable Bars in the Country”*, Confidential.
An unprecedented night in San Diego’s Historic Gaslmap Quarter where guests were treated like stars with limousine arrivals, red carpets, paparazzi & press interviews. A film-themed dinner and drinks were served while guests enjoyed a live viewing of the Academy Awards, emceed by 10News' own Kimberly Hunt and an array of A-List Silent Auction items.
